Isaac Molby (5) Horace and Sarah E. Maltby, stated that Truman Malby was the son of Isaac and that Truman had two sons whose addresses they could get--but never did. They said Truman died about 1912. Comment about Isaac Molby, son of Jonathan Molby. By F. A. Molby of Baldwin, Kansas.

From the U.S. Census of 1850 enumeration of the family of Truman Mulbury, age 25, farmer, born N.Y., from this and other facts, it seems safe to presume that Truman "Mulbury" was, in reality, Truman Molby, and that the Isaac aged 49 in the same house and Esther, aged 52 in the same home, were the father and mother of Truman Molby. Also it seems safe to presume that William H. Mulbury in the same listing, age 12, was also a son of Isaac Molby. Since Isaac's age was listed as 49 in this census and since in the 1840 Census, two Isaac Molby families, each with a male of age between 40 and 50, it would appear that Isaac Molby, son of Jonathan Molbey, was born 1801 or 1802. Looking over the signatures of Jonathan Molbey's four sons on a deed to 25 acres of their father's land in lot 12, Van Buren Twp. (then a part of the town of Camillus) dated March 8, 1825, it is evident that Isaac was then of age and unmarried. Truman Molby's age, 25 in 1850, indicates he was born 1825 or 1826, which would place the marriage as shortly after March 8, 1825.
